Well, I thought I would do this blog to introduce you to BOOKS I have enjoyed reading throughout the last few years, WRITINGS I have found inspirational & touching to one's soul, & MOVIES that are sobering, thought provoking, ones that make you think, historical in nature-not all but some-some that touch your heart with love, tears, joy---just plain old good ones that are just movies to watch & enjoy. Books, Writings, Movies life's blessings, to us all-that is if we chose those that have a moral, one that the whole family can watch & enjoy-those movies that make you think of home, those good ole' days when life was simplier, those days of going to visit your Grandparents out on the farm, feeding the animals, riding the horses, milking the cows.
Remember those days of summer eating watermelons, going barefoot in the grass? Remember those days where you had no worries at all, that all you did was play make-believe in a tent made on your Mother's big square clothes line? Or the times you & your best friend(s) played dress-up w/your mother's clothes, shoes, jewelry & hats! Time flew & one grew up.
I want this blog to let us remember the good times in life. The books that we can read & share that will make us feel warm inside, feel good about our lives, to see God working in our world, to have the peace of mind & soul to see how God is always with us, always guiding us through the words of God himself. The way He can lead us through the voices of other writers, through movies that gives us hope no matter what our situation in life is at any given point or time.
So come with me, lets share my favorite books, writings, & movies-yours too, while we try to find A SECRET GARDEN to escape to, to dream, to explore, to go anywhere we want. To go back in time or into the future, no matter where we go, we will find peace, hope, laughter, fun...a safe place where we can dream.....remember...... gain hope in life. I hope you find something here that you can read or watch-something that will bless your life as much as it has blessed mine.
